Are you frustrated with your career? Do you feel under-valued and under-challenged? Do you wish you could wave a magic wand and suddenly supercharge your career? If you answered yes to any of these questions, designtrack is for you.
This page offers a high-level outline of our first course. I’d suggest reading it to get a feel for how we’ll deliver the content. I’ll be uploading the curriculum soon.
Our first, four week FastTrack course is all about establishing realistic and achievable career goals. I’ll help you to design your future, giving you clear goals and providing you with the tools you need to transform your trajectory and supercharge your career.
I’ll share a carefully designed career change toolset with you that will enable you to:
We’ll focus on establishing career goals that are unique to each and every learner. I will then tailor a learning programme to you.
This course will enable you to establish a clearly defined career strategy and – based on the work you do on the course – use this as the basis for the design of a new portfolio website or, alternatively, a focused product strategy.
On completion of the four week course you will have:
We’ll focus on establishing a clear trajectory for your future career and – once we’ve mapped that out – we’ll blueprint a strategy to help you achieve it.
To help you do this, we’ll run through a number of user research methods and career visualisation tools that I’ve developed over the last 20 years. The learning materials and the strategies I’ll share with you have been tried and tested and proven to work.
Everything we’ll cover together has enabled my graduates to establish well paid, exciting and challenging careers working for world-class companies.
If you complete the work, you’ll follow in my graduates footsteps. They have secured highly paid jobs working with world class companies, including:
You can absolutely follow in their footsteps. I’ll show you how.
The course is delivered via a mix of: weekly lectures and discussions (using Zoom); small group tutorials (using Slack); and optional one-to-ones (using Zoom).
Our delivery is designed to fit around existing work commitments, so we’ll work over evenings and weekends so you can level-up in your own time.
We’ll have weekly lectures via Zoom (I’ll offer two timezones, pick the one that suits you) and I’ll follow up the lectures with small group tutorials so that everyone enrolled is a part of a ‘community of practice’, focused around our Slack community.
In addition to the above, the course comes with supplementary downloadable learning materials, including:
I’ll critique everyone’s work in Week 3, offering each participant detailed advice and suggestions for improvements, so they can achieve a meaningful outcome within the four week time frame.
Put simply: I will hold you accountable and ensure you deliver on deadline.
